WE ARE LIVING THE FALL OF ROME
and it's being forced on us as virtue.
Time has run out. The shape of our new reality has revealed itself. We must witness and respond, soberly, with clear heads. We are now ruled by mentally ill conformity activists who brook no dissent against their irrational and dangerous rules, talking points and groupthink. It’s as if the believing-you-are-Napoleon delusion has taken hold and we must play along or be punished. We are all exiled to Elba — awaiting instructions from our insane leader.
Many of us see through the delusion, the normalizing of abhorrent behaviour, the race baiting and censorship, the cruelty and banishment of anyone who objects to the bizarre carnival unfolding in our streets. We tamp down our revulsion because so many of our friends and neighbours are going along with it. Therefore, it can’t be that bad, even though our nervous systems are on high alert.
Our subconscious is flooded with Gavin De Becker’s gift of fear — that feeling of night-walking danger signalling us to cross the street. But we ignore it, as some of Ted Bundy’s young victims did, because like them, we are being conditioned to not fight back — to go along and remain silent no matter how threatened we may feel.
The attacks on reason and truth took root in May of 2020 after the awful, videotaped death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. Violence, rioting and cities in flames were rebranded by the media and Democratic politicians as mostly peaceful demonstrations. Billions in damages and at least nine people killed. Nothing to see here.
Our cognitive dissonance grows as on issue after issue we are ordered to ignore what we see and feel or be punished.
The destruction of our families and even our society doesn’t matter. History has no meaning. Grace and beauty, as vital components of a civil society are gone, replaced by drab grey outlines that adhere to the collective’s rules. Access to nature and greenery is subsumed by homeless encampments and cheap condos feeding the climate change density fanaticism of woke city planners, casting shadows across our neighbourhoods.
Everything good, decent and nurturing is overcome and all that matters is obedience to the baying mob that believes it is Napoleon — and insists we play along — or else.
Racial discrimination is now a noble goal in Minneapolis where they are saying the ugly part out loud. Past sins can only be remedied by perpetuating them.
Let’s not forget the CDC plan to not vaccinate first the most vulnerable people, the elderly, because they are mostly white. This is called levelling the playing field and it is the opposite of traditional medical triage. Nor should we memory hole the sacrificing of children by our Covidian overlords in public health and media. Kids were denied education, socialization and play — components that make up their very lives — to become human shields for hysterical teachers and their unions.
And the exploitation of children by selfish adults is escalating. Nowhere is this madness more obvious than the decadent campaign by trans activists and their enablers to rebrand drag shows as wholesome family entertainment. The support for it by parents, teachers and libraries is disturbing. Sadly, it seems exposing one’s children to sexualized burlesque is a progressive badge of honour. Newly-minted leftist and national security extremist, Max Boot — brags in the Washington Post about how he recently…in his words…took my step-kids to a drag show.
It all feels very Fall of Rome to watch men, dressed as strippers, parading provocatively while collecting money from children in a grotesque tableaux normally inhabited by lecherous men in dive bars — tipping out exotic dancers and hoping for more — later.
Obviously this is an absurd pantomime as there is no later but perhaps it is the best example of a doomed culture pretending to not see it’s own demise.
Ironically, if the men were actual women, they would be seen not as harmless family fun but as exotic dancers. The parents would be scorned for exposing children to them. But appeasing a male sexual fetish is now virtuous. So, no harm done.
In Texas, Antifa showed up with guns to ensure a drag show for children proceeded without intervention from demonstrators. Their armed presence was hailed as a civil rights triumph — like Antifa was protecting the children desegregating Southern schools in the 1960’s.
Watch the couple at the picnic table with their young daughter, cheering it all on like it is perfectly normal. Meanwhile, two men are making out just feet away.
Below, 11-year old Desmond is Amazing dances suggestively for men holding out money. If this was a little girl, grabbing cash from grown men someone would have called the police. This is the sexed-up version of Toddlers and Tiaras that we all feared when JonBenet Ramsay’s murder captured the headlines.
Marc Crispin Miller unearthed this gem showing a controversial but extremely well-educated academic glibly defending the idea that men can get pregnant and invoking the oft-used trans-suicide talking point.
In other words, we all must accept her extremism or people will die. If her statistic is even true — can there be other causes for suicidal ideation in young people beyond gender issues? Maybe they are depressed because they were pushed into transition by activist teachers and therapists.
It just got harder to know the truth. Both Canada and the United States are making it illegal to question the underpinnings of a troubled child’s gender confusion. Activists have cleverly compared normal clinical investigations as assaultive and akin to aversion therapy - the cruel and outdated practice of trying to turn gay people straight.
Now, the only acceptable protocol for treating so-called trans kids — is to affirm their self-diagnosis, perhaps triggered by narcissistic parents and social media. This leads to puberty blockers, hormones and surgery. There is no way out for confused kids. This from the Canadian Gender Report written before the bill in Canada was passed.
A legislated ban on on conversion therapy will lock in the affirming approach as the only way to treat gender dysphoria. In practical terms, this means that if a young woman is in distress because she believes that she is really a man and hates her breasts, a psychiatrist or psychologist may refer her to a surgeon for a double mastectomy. A clinician who attempts to explore the causes of her distress and assist her to accept her woman’s body, would risk criminal charges. It would be acceptable to give children with multiple mental health issues drugs which will sterilize them but criminal to attempt to resolve their distress through talk therapy.
Gender dysphoria is often associated with other mental health conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, eating disorders and post-traumatic stress. There is growing concern by mental health professionals throughout the world that gender dysphoria is being over diagnosed and that medical transition is being used as the first line treatment. The affirmation only policies adopted by many professional associations make it difficult for responsible clinicians to do proper diagnosis and treatment of gender confused patients with complex mental health issues. Adding in criminal law would make a bad situation worse.
This is what we are up against. Logic and facts aren’t allowed because they impede the progress of this cultural and political coup — one that is now subsuming our children. All of it is enabled by elites, selling out humanity because as a payoff for supporting the unsupportable, they get to keep to keep their motorcades and private jets idling for a clean getaway as it all falls apart.
